Financial figures as of 30th September 2006
The Einhell group shows a brilliant business development in the first 9 months of the business year 2006. Turnover and profit rose significantly compared to last year. An important part for this positive development have the product innovations, product development and the quality of the products.
The group turnover as of 30th September increased by 9.4% from EUR292.0million to EUR319.5million compared to last year. Turnover in the domestic market increased by 6.9% to EUR154.8million (EUR144.8million last year). Turnover in the EU increased by 8.4% to EUR100.8million (EUR93.0million last year). Turnover in other countries increased by 32.0% to EUR45.4million (EUR34.4million last year) and turnover in Asia stayed nearly constant with EUR18.5million (EUR19.8million last year).
Both product lines "tools" and "garden and leisure" achieved a growth in turnover again. Compared with the same period last year, the division "tools" obtained an increase in turnover by 7.7% to EUR167.1million (EUR155.2million last year) and the division "garden and leisure" obtained a clear increase in turnover by 11.4% to EUR152.4million (EUR136.8million last year).
The development in profit was very successful during the first nine months of the business year 2006. Group profit before tax rose by 22.8% to EUR19.4million (EUR15.8million last year). The net profit increased from EUR10.5million to EUR13.5million compared to the same period last year. Adjusted net profit (based on DVFA accounting standard rules) amounts to EUR12.4million (EUR9.8million last year) or EUR3.3 per share (EUR2.6).
Regarding the good performance during the first nine months 2006 the group management is very optimistic to reach a turnover of EUR400million to EUR420million and earnings before tax of 5.5% to 6% by year-end.
