Anderson Power Product Introduces: Solar SPEC Pak

München (ots) - Anderson Power Products (APP), a leader in high
power interconnect solution, is proud to announce the expansion of
their SPEC Pak family of products to include Solar SPEC Pak with
power handling capabilities up to 1000 volts. Solar SPEC Pak consists
of a 4 position Receptacle and Plug with a Locking Latch that
conforms to NEC 2008 requirements. Designed for wire to wire and wire
to panel applications, Solar SPEC Pak, is capable of handling up to 4
individual lines which reduces the number of traditional connectors
needed for your applications, reducing the amount of space needed and
saving money.

The Solar SPEC Pak, IP68 rated shell has a flammability rating of
UL 94 V-0 and weather-ability rating of F1 per UL 746C. The housing
is Touch Safe per UL 1977 when used with Finger Proof Powerpole®
contact housings. It has a temperature range of -20° to 105°C (-4° to
221°F). In addition, the Solar SPEC Pak shell meets the stringent NEC
2008 (-35°C) drop test requirement.

The core Powerpole® technology within the SPEC Pak shell is
proven, reliable and cost effective. The 4 position Solar SPEC Pak
will hold up to 4 Powerpole® power contacts, 16 signal contacts or a
combination of both. Individually, the power contacts are rated to 45
amps and are capable of handling wire sizes of 24 to 10 AWG (0.25 to
4 mm²). Ground contacts are First Mate/Last Break. Contact housings,
both finger proof and standard, are available in a wide array of
colors offering color-coding options and design flexibility. The
combination of housings, power, ground and signal contacts provides
thousands of design options for the most demanding applications.
