AMITELO AG wins orders in Columbia

Zurich, 9 October 2006 (ots) - Telecommunications provider AMITELO
is launching its activities in South America with a number of
projects. Contracts include interconnecting AMITELO with Columbia's
telecommunication networks, installing a digital telephone system and
providing call shops in rural areas.

Having established itself as a successful telecommunications
provider in various regions of Europe and Africa, AMITELO is now
expanding its business activities to the continent of South America.
As a first step it has secured the interconnection between the
networks of AMITELO and the Columbian telecommunications providers
ETB (Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota) and Telecom Colombia.

For Previsora, a governmental insurance company headquartered in
Bogota, AMITELO is currently planning to install a digital telephone
system (VoIP IPBX) for more than 700 employees and provide a complete
call center solution. With favourable location factors call centres
are currently registering high growth rates in Columbia, opening up
good prospects of follow-up orders in the region for AMITELO.

AMITELO is also committed to an infrastructure project launched by
the Columbian government to develop broadband services in remote
areas as part of the five-year «Compartel» programme. Under the
project AMITELO is to establish and open up call shops in rural areas
and in schools.
