Placing of Conergy AG’s new shares successfully completed

Hamburg, March 8th, 2007: Following today´s Ad-hoc release concerning
the proposed capital increase and placing, Conergy reports the
successful completion of the accelerated bookbuilding. A total of
2,999,999 shares, equivalent to 10% of the share capital before the
issue, were placed successfully to German an international
institutional investors. The placing price was 50 Euro per share. The
proceeds for the transaction amounted to approximately Euro 150
million. The total number of shares outstanding of Conergy AG will
increase to 32,999,999. Commerzbank Corporate & Markets and J.P.
Morgan Securities Ltd. acted as Joined Lead Managers and Joined
Bookrunners for the transaction.

This capital increase against cash representing an increase of
approximately 10 % of the share capital was resolved by the
Management Board and approved by the Supervisory Board and is based
on an authorization granted by the general meeting on May 29th, 2006.
The new shares will be issued excluding the pre-emptive rights of
existing shareholders.
