Assured growth: Erfurt cell manufacturer ErSol signs silicon wafer contract with Deutsche Solar
This afternoon ErSol Solar Energy AG (ErSol) signed a contract with one of Europe's largest wafer manufacturers Deutsche Solar AG, Freiberg, in Erfurt, pertaining to the supply of multicrystalline silicon wafers. This contract will apply from 2009 onwards and will enable ErSol to generate an additional output of at least 100 MWp. The silicon wafer price has been fixed for the entire term of the contract. It is provided that ErSol will make down payments in the two-digit millions (of euros), to be offset against subsequent payments for the purchase of wafers.
