AuRico Metals Provides Management Update

AuRico Metals Inc. (TSX: AMI), ("AuRico" or the "Company") today
announced that it has accepted the resignation of Chief Financial
Officer, Robert Chausse, as he leaves to pursue the position of CFO
at another company. The resignation is effective March 31, 2016.

"We thank Rob for his contributions, particularly the integral
part he played in seeing AuRico Metals through its establishment as a
new company", stated Chris Richter, President and CEO of AuRico
Metals. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

A replacement for Mr. Chausse will be announced in due course.
