Little Boxes that can save you money

Geschrieben am 23-05-2014

Chelmsford, England (ots) - This niche renewable energy company is
based in Chelmsford and has been trading for just over a year,
founded to provide the UK with revolutionary cutting edge, green,
environmentally friendly products, to improve the environment and
resist climate change. Its directors Alistair Smit and Martino Basile
brought together considerable experience from the field of renewables
having been involved in solar photovoltaic and solar thermal products
for many years. They also had major interests in the domestic home
improvement market. As entrepreneurs they sought new products that
would meet the 'mission statement' of the company.

They invented, designed and now manufacture two core products for
the domestic hot water and central heating market. Local inventor and
entrepreneur Scott Styles had been working in the Solar Thermal
renewable energy market since2010. He was not convinced by the
technology as it did not deliver the results that he wanted in order
to make a big impact on customer's annual energy bills. He decided to
see if he could create a better Solar Thermal system that would
overcome all the pitfalls that were linked to the technology. He
said: "Energy is everywhere around us, night and day, and how to
capture and convert that energy into heat is what I wanted to capture
successfully was ready to take the next step. The objective was to
make a better system that worked in a different way and made use of
the principles of thermodynamics. "Scott knew that there was a gap in
the market. After spending a considerable amount of time on research
he came across solar thermodynamic as a potential hot water and
heating system. This led Scott to create a solar thermodynamic system
that could retro fit into any property 'The Little Magic Box'. He
then launched the product into the British market. "My first Little
Magic Thermodynamic Box generated massive interest," he said. "People
liked the concept. It was at this point I knew that I had to get
involved with a dynamic fast moving business that could help me
progress further. Approached Martino Basile who had a proven track
history in the home improvement industry and was an entrepreneur in
the renewable energy sector. He immediately saw the potential in the
product and agreed to bring the weight of all his staff to help me
and mentor me at the same time. "The businessmen formed The Magic
Thermodynamic Box Company which focuses on business to business
sales.

The company specialises in two core products The Little Magic Box
(thermodynamics) and The Magic Heating Box (central heating
management system).

Magic Heating Box is a major component of our revolutionary new
Central Heating Management System.

Designed to save you money on your heating bills and reduce your
CO2 emissions, this clever system will improve your existing boilers
efficiency by eradicating common central heating problems. It's
custom design and ingenuous controller work seamlessly together to
make this a unique product combination unlike any other on the market
today.

The Magic Heating Box is a square pressure vessel made of high
grade steel and 28mm insulation. The box has a 17 litre water
capacity. It acts as a natural heat exchanger by mixing hot flows
from the boiler with cooler radiator returns.

This ensures that the returning water temperature to the boiler is
below the dew point (57°c) and gives an opportunity for the boiler to
remain in condensing mode all day and thereby ensuring maximum
efficiency.

The flow from the boiler enters the Magic Heating Box in a
vertical direction allowing air to escape from solution and
subsequently vented through a deaerator. (The Box is 600 times more
efficient at extracting air than a deaerator fitted to a standard
pipe) (source:rah consultancy). The system is purged of air at source
making bleeding of radiators unnecessary.

The Magic Heating Box is connected to your central heating
plumbing and is normally sited close to either the boiler, water
cylinder or even in the loft space. The Central Heating Management
system is not just a pressure vessel it comes with all the necessary
components to upgrade your entire central heating system.

The Magic Heating Box

Both products have been a very popular with different types of
home improvement businesses across the world mainly because of the
benefits they can bring to the customers. The Little Magic Box,
consists of having a small panel on the outside of the property that
is connected to the properties water cylinder. The panel's unique
selling point is that it works 24 hours a day reducing the property's
domestic hot water bill by up to 90 per cent. The concept is that it
works like a fridge but in reverse, which is historically one of the
most reliable technologies and is maintenance free. An innovative
money-saving product and a background of rapidly rising energy prices
helped The Magic Thermodynamic Box Company thrive. It is now
recognised across Britain and has distributors in nine countries in
Europe and its newest distributor covers Australia.

While the first Little Magic Box was produced in the Far East, and
the second version in Spain, the company's ethos was to make all its
products in Britain and to have a production line in Essex that is
capable of producing a far superior product than the early
prototypes. We are proud to say that the third version of The Little
Magic Box is made in the UK for the UK and European Market," said
Alex Basile, marketing director. "The quality of British engineering
and the use of European components has made The Little Magic Box the
best in class.

"The company has recently moved to a three-story Grade Listed
building with over 7,000 sqft situated in the heart of Chelmsford.
The building features a Research and Development Department where
customers can see the working products. The department was opened by
the Mayor and Mayoress of Chelmsford in November where the Mayor was
overwhelmed by what he saw. "It is good to see a local business
distributing a British made product that has been manufactured
locally all across the world," said Mayor Trevor Miller, who was
particularly happy to see that the company had chosen to work in
Essex being extra employment to the county. "Chelmsford main line
rail station is only 30 min from London," said managing director
Alistair Smit, "and we are close to three major airports at Stansted,
and Gatwick, which has also helped us with clients travelling from as
far as Australia to see us. "We knew that as we grew we would need to
recruit a highly skilled work force and we knew that we would get
that in Essex. "People travel from all over the world to see our
products, from Spain, Italy, Denmark, Greece, Czech Republic, France
and even America. We want to make sure that people get here as
smoothly as possible and I am proud to say that so far Essex has
proved to be an ideal location.

"Initial profits have been reinvest into testing the products.
This included testing at Cambridge and Trinity College in Dublin. The
products were also tested at Enertek, where they looked at the
performance of the product. These test results give potential
customers the confidence to add them to their product range. The
company has also invested money into employing a research and
development manager, Jayakumar Ambrose, who has considerable
experience in testing equipment and studied at Stuttgart University
where he studied for a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and
Electronics. He said: "We are constantly testing our product in
laboratories and also invest in customer case studies, this is done
on a weekly basis where we use special monitoring equipment to gather
data from tests."I have searched the marketplace to look for high
quality installation products and we have chosen to work with Globus
Homes also based in Chelmsford, this ensures that all of distributors
install our renewable energy products with the best installation
products."
