Higher Manufacturing Costs and Transport Bottlenecks in Port
Technology Segment Business continues to be good in the Industrial
Cranes and Services segments

Dusseldorf, 13 July 2007. Today, the Management Board of Demag Cranes
AG has lowered its earnings forecast for the current financial year
ending 30 September based on preliminary figures for the third
quarter of financial year 2006/2007. This is due to manufacturing
costs in the Port Technology segment that are associated with the new
Generation 5 mobile harbour cranes. In addition, transport
bottlenecks in the Port Technology segment have led to hold-ups in
the delivery of manufactured cranes. Business results for the two
segments Industrial Cranes and Services continue to be good. In the
Port Technology segment, earnings in the third quarter based on
preliminary figures are negative. Based on these new circumstances,
the targets for the financial year ending 30 September have been
adjusted as follows:

Group sales: EUR 1,040 million to EUR 1,070 million (previously: EUR
1,056 million to EUR 1,086 million) Adjusted Group EBITDA: approx.
EUR 113 million (previously: EUR 127 million to EUR 132 million)
Adjusted Group EBIT: approx. EUR 93 million (previously: EUR 105
million to EUR 109 million)

The final figures for the third quarter of financial year 2006/2007
will be published on 9 August 2007. End of message
