(SIX Swiss Exchange: LIFE), the leading provider of wireless
cardiac monitoring services

in the U.S., announces today that according to SIX Swiss Exchange's
notification the LifeWatch shares will be included in the SXI LIFE SCIENCES and
the SXI Bio+Medtech indices effective as of September 21, 2009. Inclusion in
the indices of the SPI Family remains unchanged.

The SXI Indices Family comprises industry sectors that are of particular
significance to the Swiss economy; SXI stands for SIX Special Industry. The SXI
sector index family was launched in 2004 with the purpose to increase the
liquidity of shares listed on SIX Swiss Exchange that belong to internationally
significant industries

The SXI LIFE SCIENCES and SXI Bio+Medtech indices reflect the
life sciences industry, one of Switzerland's most prominent sectors.
The weighting of each individual stock is capped at 10% giving
small and medium-sized companies a greater impact. The shares of
LifeWatch AG fulfil the following inclusion criteria:

Minimum capitalization The SXI indices only include securities with a
free float capitalization of at least CHF 100 million.
Capitalization is calculated on the basis of current information
regarding the free float of securities available on the benchmark
date (July 31, 2009). To qualify for inclusion, the
capitalization must at least amount to CHF 100 million on such a
benchmark date and, in addition, the average capitalization during
20 trading days preceding the benchmark date must also amount to at
least CHF 100 million.

ICB sector classification Sector allocation is based on the ICB
(Industry Classification Benchmark) classification standard
developed by Dow Jones and the FTSE. The security universe of
the two SXI indices encompasses one or more ICB sub-sectors. The
respective sub-sectors are: 4533 Medical Providers / 4535 Medical
Equipment/ 4537 Medical Supplies / 4573 Biotechnology / 4577
Pharmaceuticals.

Free float In order to be included in one of the SXI indices, the
minimum free float of the total shares of a given company must at
least be 20%.

LifeWatch AG meets all the above mentioned criteria and its shares
will now be included in the two SXI indices effective as of
September 21, 2009.
