Frick, June 30th, 2009 - Lobeck Medical AG plans to acquire a company
operating in the field of diagnosis, medical technology or medical
products. The Swiss medical technology company intends to finance
implementation of its expansion strategy exclusively through funds
that it can raise itself. As a result of the difficult economic
climate caused by the crisis in the financial markets, the
company's management is hoping for an interesting investment
opportunity with favourable terms in the near future.

"The possibility of acquiring a majority stake in another company is
also being considered", explains Andreas Dornbierer, Chairman of
Lobeck Medical AG. "We already have some suitable proposals and
are currently looking at them in detail."

This development marks a further very positive step on the
growth path of Lobeck Medical AG. In the last few months, the Swiss
medical technology company has won new customers worldwide for its
home testing products under the brand MediSmart® of Switzerland.
Its Sapphire blood glucose meter proved particularly popular at
Iran-MED, the 12th international trade fair for medical, dental and
laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical products and healthcare
services, in Teheran.

In collaboration with its exclusive distribution partner, Lobeck
Medical AG presented its user-friendly and high-quality MediSmart®
of Switzerland products in the fields of diabetes and in-vitro
diagnostics. The Swiss medical technology company has already
been distributing early pregnancy tests in Iran for two years.
Since the beginning of this year, the Sapphire blood glucose
meter has been available on the Iranian market - at the moment only
in Teheran. "This positive start-up period motivated us to take
part in Iran-MED, the largest domestic trade fair, in Teheran, and
we did so with great success", explains Andreas Dornbierer.
"More than 300 eligible sub-agencies, hospitals and large
organisations expressed an interest in our Swiss made products."

Currently, Lobeck Medical AG supplies its products to over 1500
pharmacies in Teheran. It is the company's goal to add hospitals,
doctors and pharmacies in larger Iranian cities to its client
base. Two months ago, the Iranian Ministry of Health awarded Lobeck
Medical AG additional import licences for two further products.
Since then the company has been able to distribute its
complete MediSmart® of Switzerland product line to all parts of the
country.
