SolarWorld® presents new high performance modules

Mono-crystalline Sunmodules Plus® in the 6-inch class

SolarWorld AG relies on quality leadership in all its products -
including its new mono-crystalline high performance modules of the
6-inch class. These high performance modules from the Sunmodule Plus®
range originate mainly from the highly advanced, integrated US
production in Camarillo/California. They enhance the group's offering
of mono-crystalline 5-inch and poly-crystalline 5-inch and 6-inch
modules. With the Plus Sorting (according to the SolarWorld Flash
Report) within the framework of the Sunmodule Plus® development the
group guarantees customers a high level of reliability and
performance for all technologies. The nominal output staggered in
5-Watt steps renders the time-consuming sorting of the modules by
performance on site superfluous making for a generally higher level
of efficiency of the entire plant.

Stability and constant performance

In addition to the high performance of the cell technology used
the new 6-inch high performance modules are characterized, like all
Sunmodule Plus® products by a high level of stability and safety.
This holds true for all applications on the roof and in open field
projects as well as under different climatic conditions. Thus, the
fixed and consistent silicon connection between the module frame and
the framed glass makes for a high module stability and tightness
against snow and ice - also when snow masses slide down the roof. The
Sunmodule Plus® is also certified for loads up to 5.4 kN/m² according
to IEC 61215 2nd Ed.

Additionally, the flat transition from the aluminum frame to the
glass supports the self-cleaning of the modules thus also making for
constant high performance. The large distance between the cells and
the module frame permits both a horizontal and a vertical
installation of the modules. The patented, flat and compact
connection socket of the Sunmodule Plus® provides safe protection
against corrosion and makes for optimum temperature resistance by way
of rapid heat dissipation.

Integrated quality concept: test winner SolarWorld

SolarWorld AG is the pioneer of the idea of Plus Sorting. From the
wafer via the cell all the way to the module the group masters all
the processes of the solar value chain thus ensuring a consistently
high quality at all production levels. In addition all Sunmodules
Plus® can be employed worldwide thanks to their IEC and UL
certification. The quality concept is rounded off by the 25-year
performance warranty and the fact that the modules can be recycled.
In a long-term test the "Photon" trade magazine confirmed the
efficiency of the Sunmodules Plus®. The modules made by SolarWorld AG
ended up being the winner of the test on the basis of their high
output.
