Intersolar, hall B1, stand 170: Wieland Thermal Solutions with a wide range of products for solar thermal applications

Ulm (ots) - Wieland-Werke AG (Ulm), one of the world's leading
manufacturers of semi-finished products in copper and copper alloys,
will be presenting its new Wieland Thermal Solutions brand at this
year's solar technology trade fair Intersolar taking place in Munich
from 27 to 29 May 2009. Wieland Thermal Solutions cover thermal
engineering products, services and expertise. Together with its
Austrian subsidiary Buntmetall Amstetten, Wieland will be exhibiting
a wide range of products for solar thermal applications. In addition,
the company will be presenting cuprotherm, its proven wall and
underfloor heating system, which can be perfectly combined with heat
pumps or solar thermal systems.

Cost-effective production of solar heat absorbers

With solarclean, Wieland Thermal Solutions offer an innovative
copper tube for solar panels. solarclean is characterised by a
super-clean outer surface and significantly increases productivity in
the manufacture of solar heat absorbers. Compared to conventional
tubes, a higher welding speed can be achieved with solarclean due to
its improved surface quality. In addition, solarclean reduces the
extent of cleaning necessary during production.

Solar heat exchangers

Wieland Thermal Solutions also offer a wide range of heat
exchangers which are available from stock or as individual solutions.
The basis for heat exchangers are either plain copper tubes or finned
tubes which Wieland manufactures in different materials, types and
dimensions.

Finned tubes for solar engineering

Whether for solar heat exchangers or for the heating of water
tanks - the use of finned tubes is an efficient solution. For the
development of ever more efficient products, Wieland Thermal
Solutions offer extensive forming and thermal engineering know-how.

Piping

Plain tubes for connection and insulation purposes must meet high
standards in terms of forming and joining properties. A high and, in
particular, consistent tube quality reduces production costs. Copper
tubes can be easily joined by welding or soldering. There are proven
solutions also for connection with components made of other
materials.

Wall and underfloor heating systems

Underfloor heating systems create an exceptionally comfortable and
cosy climate whilst also ensuring the best use of energy. This is
made possible by the use of particularly efficient low-temperature
heaters such as heat pumps or thermal solar systems. Low flow
temperatures protect the environment and reduce operating costs. The
