Graz, February 13, 2009. International technology Group ANDRITZ
received an order from Bahru Stainless SHN BHD in Malaysia, a joint
venture between Acerinox S. A., Spain and Nisshin Steel, Japan for
the supply of stainless steel strip processing equipment including
acid regeneration. The order value is approximately 85 MEUR.
Production is scheduled to start by the end of 2010.

The order comprises a continuous annealing and pickling line for
hot-rolled and cold-rolled stainless steel strip, a skin pass mill,
and a mixed acid regeneration plant (Pyromas). With a capacity of
approximately 540,000 tons per year, the plant will process strip in
the thickness range from 0.7-10 mm and up to 1,600 mm wide. ANDRITZ
will supply the mechanical equipment, furnace and pickling section
including ancillary equipment, electrical equipment, and automation.

This is the second major order for stainless steel strip processing
equipment that ANDRITZ received from the Acerinox group within the
last three years and demonstrates the capability of the ANDRITZ GROUP
to meet its customers´ requirements in all respects.
