Due to further share acquisitions, on 20 March 2008, voestalpine AG´s
holding in Böhler-Uddeholm AG passed the 90% threshold. voestalpine
now holds 90.24% of the voting rights in Böhler-Uddeholm AG. The
Group refers to today´s announcement by Böhler-Uddeholm AG in this
regard.
voestalpine AG announces, that - subject to approval by the
Supervisory Board - it will now initiate the steps necessary to
perform a squeeze-out procedure according to the Austrian Minority
Shareholders Squeeze Out Act in order to buy out the remaining
shareholders in Böhler-Uddeholm AG. It is planned to adopt a
resolution to this effect at Böhler-Uddeholm AG´s Annual General
Meeting on 23 June 2008. No predictions can be made at this time as
to the amount of cash settlement payments to be made to minority
shareholders; the amount will be set and made public according to the
Minority Shareholders Squeeze Out Act.
