Leonding (euro adhoc) - Rosenbauer has expanded its service network
by opening a new service center for aerial appliances in France.
Working from its new base in Chambery, Metz Aerials now offers a wide
range of repair and maintenance services for aerial appliances
throughout France. In future, this facility will also carry out
service work on air crash tenders, forest fire-fighting vehicles and
'véhicules urbains' (municipal vehicles). Customers in France will
now benefit from shorter travel times and greater availability of
their vehicles and from knowing that professional service is not far
away when needed. The new service company operates under the name of
Metz-Service18. Inauguration of the new site is scheduled for
mid-2013.

Rosenbauer is already a familiar name in France, and not just because
of the PANTHERs supplied to Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. Metz
Aerials, the Rosenbauer Group's aerial rescue specialist, has long
been active in France. It has served French fire services for over 15
years, and there are now more than 150 Metz turntable ladders in
service around the country. Major cities throughout France, from
Paris to Marseilles, Lyons, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes, Strasbourg,
Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Grenoble, Nîmes and Dijon, all rely on
appliances from Metz Aerials.

For a fire engineering supplier like Metz, a well-organized service
network is a critical success factor, as apparatus such as aerial
rescue vehicles has to function dependably and well, under tough
conditions, for many decades. With today's tightly stretched
public-sector budgets, apparatus is tending to be kept in service
ever longer, in some cases for as long as 30 years. This is only
possible with professional servicing - which for Metz Aerials is
something that comes naturally.

Rosenbauer has service operations and partners in over 100 countries,
enabling it to offer comprehensive service. This puts Rosenbauer
close to its customers; no other fire engineering supplier has a
network anything like as dense. Thanks to this extensive territorial
coverage, customers will find a high-calibre service center 'right on
their doorsteps', so to speak, saving them not only long journeys but
also time and money.
