Solar-Fabrik AG (ISIN: DE 0006614712) finished the first quarter of
2006 with an after-tax profit of EUR 504,000. This is equivalent to
an improvement of 2.492 million euros compared to the first quarter
of 2005. Net earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.06 (previous year:
minus 0.25). Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) were EUR
559,000, up approximately EUR 2,924,000 over Q1 2005. Group revenue
in the reporting period rose by more than 33 % to EUR 11,077,000. The
Company thus improved its yearly earnings in 2005 of EUR 340,000 by
more than 48 % in only three months. The first quarter of 2006 was
the best Q1 in the Company's history.

In the first three months, Solar-Fabrik AG had an export quota of
17%, so that another milestone was reached. Besides other European
countries, the strongest export market in the first quarter by far
was Spain, and it will become even more important as fiscal 2006
progresses.

Demand for solar technology remains great. However, the great
snowfall in Germany this winter has delayed the installation of a
number of photovoltaics systems in the first three months. The
weather effects thus still impact Solar-Fabrik AG, and this seasonal
downturn will be followed by greater revenue in the next few months.

In other words, the positive development of business in the first
quarter will improve even further in the next few quarters, and the
supply of raw materials to Solar-Fabrik AG will also continue to
improve as the year progresses.
