Beta Systems announces change to Supervisory Board

- Long-standing Chairman of Supervisory Board Harald J. Joos plans to
retire from the board

Berlin, April 26, 2006 - The Supervisory Board and Management Board
of Beta Systems Software AG hereby announce that the Chairman of the
Supervisory Board of Beta Systems Software AG, Mr. Harald J. Joos,
chairman of the executive board of DEMAG Cranes & Components GmbH,
has informed the Company of his intention to give up his mandate upon
conclusion of the coming Supervisory Board meeting on May 2, 2006. In
explaining his decision, he cited the significant workload associated
with his ongoing duties in corporate management of his own company.

The Supervisory Board, Management Board and staff of the Beta Systems
Group deeply regret his decision and would like to thank Mr. Joos for
this contribution, his exceptional commitment as well as his
extensive support over the last six financial years. As Chairman of
the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Personnel Committee, Mr.
Joos made a significant contribution to the successful realignment
and growth of the Company. Benefiting from his input, the Company
developed into one of Germany's largest IT solution providers for
infrastructure software in large enterprises.
