Hamburg, 2 July 2007. Due to recent speculations in the market,
REpower Systems AG (WKN 617 703) informs that the company currently
is in advanced negotiations about orders with a total volume of up to
1,500 MW. Those concern several framework and individual contracts
for projects in the European foreign countries and in the USA, that
should be realized in the years 2008 until 2010. REpower is aiming to
complete the negotiations in this quarter.
Furthermore, REpower Systems AG expects the award of the second phase
of a tender of the Portuguese government with a volume of 400 MW to
600 MW in the next weeks. In a preliminary result published in April,
the consortium headed by REpower, which is represented by the Holding
Ventinveste, considerably led before the second and third-placed
consortia respectively, Novas Energias and Ventonorte, and qualified
for the final selection.
REpower Systems AG will promptly inform about the result of this
tender as well as about the further course of the negotiations of the
framework and individual contracts with the mentioned total volume of
up to 1,500 MW. The management board intends to adjust the sales
forecast for the fiscal year 2008 and, based on the increased
planning security, to provide a first forecast for the fiscal years
2009 and 2010.
