Rödental, July 1, 2007 - Zapf Creation AG, Europe's leading
manufacturer of play and functional dolls, today announced that,
after complex negotiations, it has obtained commitments in principle
from a banking consortium regarding long-term follow-up financing for
the Group.
The commitments are tied to several conditions, which still have to
be negotiated in the next days. Among others, the conditions are
related to the planned increase of the share capital of Zapf Creation
AG as a further component of the overall concept for the company's
future financing.
The Management Board is in intensive negotiations with the existing
banking consortium regarding another extension of the syndicated loan
agreement that expired on June 30, 2007.
The Management Board remains confident that follow-up financing for
the company can be obtained soon after the open questions have been
clarified with all parties involved.
