Fresh capital for investments in the financial and IT sectors

The AvW Group has sold its shares in Pankl Racing (PARS.VI). Above
the purchase price silence was agreed."For us, this constitutes a
fair offer which we were pleased to accept", says Wolfgang Auer von
Welsbach, Chairman of the AvW Management Board, and explains the
reasons for the divestment: "In addition to the positive fundamental
data, we always look at potential takeover opportunities with respect
to our investments.If this is no longer an option, as was the case
with our small cap investment in Pankl, then AvW divests of such
interests and looks for new investments that offer high potential for
future growth." AvW had been a shareholder in the Austrian supplier
to the racing industry for more than four years. As a result of the
transaction, AvW realised a net profit of more than EUR 10 million.

Reinvestment in financial and IT stocks planned

The fresh capital is primarily earmarked for expanding AvW's existing
investments in the financial and IT sectors. "Here, the growth rates
are particularly strong, and there is also great potential for future
takeovers", says Mr. Auer von Welsbach.
