Solar-Fabrik AG (ISIN: DE 0006614712) finished the first quarter of
2007 with an after-tax profit of EUR 806,000. This is equivalent to
an improvement of 302,000 euros compared to the first quarter of
2006. Net earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.09 (previous year:
0.06). Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) were EUR 1.003
million, up approximately EUR 444,000 over Q1 2006. Group revenue in
the reporting period rose by more than 63 % to EUR 18.058 million.
The first quarter of 2007 was the best first quarter in the Company's
history both in terms of sales revenue and income.

In the Wafer Division, Solar-Fabrik posted EUR 14.3 million in sales
in the first three months of the current fiscal year, EUR 10.4
million of which was generated outside the Group. This segment thus
improved in the first quarter by EUR 11.3 million compared to Q1
2006, equivalent to growth exceeding 475 %. The expansion of business
at the Global Expertise Wafer Division in the field of silicon and
wafers will continue to be dynamically stepped up; market conditions
for this expansion are currently better than ever.

In March, Solar Energy Power Ltd. of Singapore began regular supplies
of solar cells, allowing the "Solar Cells" segment to generate
additional positive results.

In the first quarter, the segment of solar power systems continue to
develop moderately as targeted. However, since March of 2007
Solar-Fabrik AG has received far more orders than planned, so that
this field of business is now also expected to post exceptionally
positive earnings in the next few months thanks to greater capacity
utilization than targeted.

Solar-Fabrik expects sales and earnings to continue to grow
significantly thanks to the combination of activities along the
entire value chain within the Group. The strategic expansion of the
Group is therefore already bearing fruit impressively after just a
short time.

In the first quarter of 2007, consolidated sales revenue increased by
approximately 63% relative to Q1 2006, with the EBIT margin at around
5.5 % as announced. The sales target for fiscal 2007 as a whole
remains at least at EUR 130 million, with the goal for the EBIT
margin being at least 10%.
