Hamburg, 24th April 2007 - In its meeting today the supervisory board of freenet AG appointed Mr. Prof. Dr. Helmut Thoma as new chairman of the supervisory board. The native-born Viennese has accepted the appointment with immediate effect and follows Prof. Dr. G. Konrad Schmidt who will remain an active and ordinary member of the supervisory board. Prof. Dr. Thoma was already a member of the mobilcom supervisory board for a couple of years and furthermore he was also chairman of the freenet.de AG.
