Accounting and Audits/Preliminary figures

SDAX listed CURANUM AG, Munich, publishes preliminary figures for
business year 2006 according to IFRS. The auditors have announced to
issue a clean audit certificate based on the following figures.

In business year 2006 the CURANUM Group achieved sales figures of EUR
215.7m (previous year EUR 188.5m), representing an increase by 14.4%.
92.3% of total sales were generated from nursing care and affiliated
services, 4.9% from letting sheltered apartments and outpatient
services and 2.9% from other sales revenues.

Earnings before rentals, depreciation, interest and taxes EBITDAR
rose from EUR 57.9m to EUR 71.9m in business year 2006, the operating
result before rentals therefore rose by 24.2%, the EBITDAR-margin
improved from 30.7% to 33.3% in the reported period. Due to a still
low occupancy rate in acquired facilities in 2006 rental costs rose
disproportionaly from EUR 32.7m to EUR 42.4m. EBITDA thus improved
from EUR 25.2m to EUR 29.5m, the EBITDA-margin in business year 2006
stood at 13.7% (previous year 13.4%). EBIT jumped by 18.1% to EUR
22.8m (previous year EUR 19.3m), the EBIT-margin climbed to 10.6%.

Earnings after taxes improved from EUR 6.6m in the previous year by
48.5% to EUR 9.3m, earnings per share climbed from EUR 0.22 to EUR
0.31 in business year 2006.
