Cologne, 13 March 2007 -DocCheck Medizinbedarf & Logistik GmbH,
Stuttgart, a subsidiary of DocCheck AG, Cologne, (ISIN DE0005471007
// Symbol 547100), has today acquired 100% of the shares in Medilab
GmbH, Essen. The acquisition takes place with financial effect from
01/04/2007. The purchase price for the acquisition was paid in cash
and the parties agreed that the purchase price would be kept
confidential. Medilab GmbH, Essen will become another sales location
for DocCheck’s trading and logistics activities. This means that
DocCheck Medizinbedarf & Logistik GmbH (DocCheckShop) will have
locations in the South (Stuttgart), in the East (Leipzig) and in the
West (Essen) of the country. Further sales locations are also
planned. Medical supplies and medical technical equipment requiring
registration are sold via DocCheckShop. To some extent, these require
individual and on-site customer service. The establishment of a sales
network is in line with DocCheck’s brand strategy. Currently DocCheck
already reaches almost every other doctor in Germany via the
Internet. With its own sales locations, its own mail order business,
its own sales force and the DocCheck range of products, the DocCheck
brand is sure to develop beyond the Internet.
