Frankfurt, March 31, 2006. Neue Sentimental Film AG (German
Securities Code - WKN - 534 140), a leading, international media
company for the production of advertising films and TV formats,
recorded positive EBIT totaling EUR 0.5 million in Q4 2005.
Assuming that all of the companies fully consolidated in the group as
at the start of 2005 remained consolidated until the end of the year,
the group would also have reached its sales target of EUR 9.8 million
in the fourth quarter of 2005. This would thus result in a 9%
increased compared to annual sales for 2004 adjusted for
consolidation. This means that Neue Sentimental Film AG’s sales for
2005 as a whole were on target at EUR 33.6 million after EUR 33.8
million in the previous year. However, the changed conditions on
the market have led Neue Sentimental Film to remove the New Zealand
subsidiary from the consolidated group; in addition, Group.IE
Gesellschaft für Identity Engineering mbH is no longer fully
consolidated. Neither of companies' membership in the Neue
Sentimental Film group was bringing the desired synergy effects.
After adjustment for these companies' earnings, sales in 2005 totaled
EUR 28.9 million and EBIT totaled EUR -0.9 million compared to EUR
-0.1 million in 2004. After years of difficult conditions on the
market, a sustained improvement is making itself felt for 2006. Neue
Sentimental Film AG is thus optimistic for the current fiscal year
2006. The modifications to the group of consolidated companies that
have been put in place, coupled with further structural optimization
measures are already bearing their first fruit. The start of the year
was pleasing, with sales and earnings in January and February up
year-on-year. A significant increase in sales and positive EBIT are
being forecast for the year as a whole. Neue Sentimental Film AG's
current clients include Ferrero, Dr. Oetker, Burger King, Nestle,
MTV, Thomy, Knorr, Haribo, Deutsche Börse, Postbank, Danone, Citroen,
Poly Color, Erste Bank Österreich and a host of other companies.
