The Austrian finance group AvW INVEST AG has increased its investment
in the German IT company Realtech AG (RTCG.DE) to 5,43 per cent. The
announcement pursuant to the new transparency directive will be
transmitted to the company and the supervisory authority for
financial services (BaFin) within 3 days.

In addition to its investments in S&T (currently around 21 per cent)
and Cancom (currently around 15 per cent), AvW INVEST AG has thus
acquired an equity interest in another IT company. "Realtech is an
excellent fit for our existing portfolio, but we are also looking at
other companies," says Wolfgang Auer von Welsbach, Chairman of AvW’s
Board of Management. It is still my goal to establish a leading
position as an Austrian investor in the IT sector. The company's IT
holdings currently have a market value of EUR 40 million.
