euro adhoc: Westag & Getalit AG / other / Syntalit AG increases its share of voting rights in Westag & Getalit AG

In compliance with its notification duties under section 21,
subsection 1 of the German Securities Trading Act, we have been
advised by Syntalit AG, Baarerstrasse 73, 6303 Zug, Switzerland, as
well as its shareholder, Gethalia Foundation, c/o
Prokurationsanstalt, Aeulestrasse 74, 9490 Vaduz, Liechtenstein, that
the former now owns 75.50 % of the voting rights in Westag & Getalit
AG, meaning that the relevant 75 % limit was exceeded on December 12,
2006.

The 73.77 % share previously held by Syntalit AG was raised to 75.50
% exclusively through transactions within the family. Gethalia
Foundation, Syntalit AG’s shareholder, previously held 74.93 % of the
voting rights both through a certain number of directly owned shares
and through its interest in Syntalit AG. As a result of said
transactions, 75.50 % of the voting rights in Westag & Getalit AG are
now owned by Syntalit AG. In accordance with section 22, subsection
1, phrase 1, No 1 of the German Securities Trading Act, these voting
rights are deemed to be ultimately controlled by Gethalia Foundation.
