Berlin (euro adhoc) - Pongs & Zahn Aktiengesellschaft: 9-month-report
2006

28th November 2006. In the first nine months of the current
financial year Pongs & Zahn Aktiengesellschaft achieved sales at the
consolidated Group level totalling EUR 79,834,000 (2005, Pongs & Zahn
AG: EUR 37,527,000). Pongs & Zahn AG realised a sales volume in the
amount of EUR 50,670,000, which was generated mainly by the plastics
segment. The rapid increase over the first nine months of 2005 was
based again on the continued expansion of the plastics trading
business with major international customers as well as on the
consolidation of Group companies in this segment. The ownership in
PONACHEM Compound GmbH has been increased up to 100 %. VERION
Filaments AG, Munich, and its affiliated company (100 %) LAUFARON
GmbH, Guben, have been consolidated for the first time in the third
quarter of the current business year.

As earnings for the period the Pongs & Zahn Group is showing a profit
for the first nine months of 2006 of EUR 326,000 (2005, Pongs & Zahn
AG: EUR 474,000). This result includes the special effect of the
interest payment for the Pongs & Zahn participation certificates for
the business year 2005, which took place on August 31st 2006.

Because of the exercising of option rights the basic capital of our
company as of 30th September 2006 has risen since the closing date
for the accounts on 30th June 2006 by EUR 228,000, and now stands at
EUR 36,000,000. The Pongs & Zahn AG’s equity ratio in the first nine
months of 2006 thus amounted to approximately 56 percent (54 % on the
Group level).

Note: Pongs & Zahn Aktiengesellschaft is reporting since its
quarterly report as of 31st March 2006 under the International
Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in the form applicable in the
EU. This means that the figures are no longer comparable with those
for earlier reporting periods. The following companies, in addition
to Pongs & Zahn AG, are included in the Group consolidated accounts:
PONACHEM Compound GmbH, Hamburg (100 % share-ownership), VALUE PLAST
AG, Munich (100 % share-ownership), Guben Capro GmbH, Guben (100 %
share-ownership) (ALTUS Service GmbH, Hamburg (100 % share-ownership)
and VERION Filaments AG, Munich (62,3 % share-ownership) with its 100
%-affiliate LAUFARON GmbH, Guben.
