Mercury Computer Systems Signs Agreement with Medical Imaging Solutions Provider Genesis Digital Imaging

Geschrieben am 20.11.2006 - [Nächster Artikel]

CHELMSFORD, Mass./FUERTH (ots) -

Leading solutions provider to integrate award-winning Mercury
Visage PACS into its industry-leading product offerings

Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY) announced a
three-year agreement to provide a range of picture archiving and
communications system (PACS) solutions to Genesis Digital Imaging, an
innovative company based in Los Angeles, CA.

Genesis Digital Imaging supports distributors in the medical
imaging industry with leading-edge products and services, and will
distribute Mercury's award-winning Visage(TM) web-enabled PACS
solutions
under their product umbrella Omni-WEB PACS, throughout the North
American market. The agreement with Genesis extends Mercury's
strategy of providing its medical imaging solutions to the
marketplace through top-tier dealers and distributors.

“We are excited to add Mercury's expertise in web-enabled PACS
imaging to our turnkey product offerings,” stated Joseph Eliafan,
President of Genesis Digital Imaging. “We look forward to combining
Computed Radiography (CR) image capture, with web-enabled image
distribution into a bundled solution for the non-hospital market.”

Genesis plans to combine the Kodak desktop CR system with the
Mercury Visage web-PACS server. The highly integrated solution will
be designed to optimize image acquisition and produce high-quality
images while significantly accelerating the radiological workflow.
With Visage PACS, medical imaging data will be accessible from any
web-based client for diagnosis and further reports; as a result,
diagnostic personnel are more productive, and patient treatment time
is reduced.

“Mercury is proud to work with Genesis Digital Imaging,” said
Marcelo Lima, Vice President and General Manager of Commercial
Imaging and Visualization at Mercury Computer Systems, Inc.
“Together, Genesis and Mercury will provide dealers and distributors
in the North American marketplace solutions with leading image
quality and performance combined with enterprise-grade, web-PACS
technology.”
