KfW IPEX-Bank to Provide 5 Million Euro Credit Line to Sheremetyevo International Airport Moscow for 7 Years

Frankfurt/Main (ots) - Sheremetyevo Moscow International Airport and KfW IPEX-Bank (Germany) have signed a Financing Agreement on the provision of the credit line of 5 million EURO for 7 years. These funds are to finance special aerodrome equipment purchase. The financial deal with Sheremetyevo is KfW IPEX-Bank's first step into Russian Airport-Sector and Sheremetyevo's first financing with an international bank.
"The Bank has offered Sheremetyevo attractive conditions for financing taking into consideration the stable position of the company on the market and development perspectives as well as the financial results for 2004-2005 prepared according IFRS. An agreement on the provision of financing with the large international bank is the result of the purposeful policy of Sheremetyevo, which, as a result, provides the direct access to the western capital markets," said Mr. Dmitry Kalinin, Chief Financial Officer, JSC International Airport Sheremetyevo. "The ability to attract investments on the most favorable conditions is a key competence of Sheremetyevo International Airport as the infrastructure company."
Dr. Wolfgang Richter, KfW IPEX-Bank's Senior Vice President Airport financing underlined the growing importance of financings in Russia for KfW IPEX-Bank: "This financing as our first Russian airport financing is a contribution to the development of infrastructure in Russia and will be the basis for a fruitful cooperation in the future."
About Sheremetyevo International Airport Sheremetyevo International Airport is the largest airport of Russia on part of regular international traffic (it accounts for 60% of the market). To meet the demands of the rapidly growing Russian aviation sector, the airport is currently undergoing massive capital improvement works including the construction of a new Terminal 1 building, the expansion and refurbishment of Terminal 2 and the extension of the train link from downtown Moscow to the airport. The train link project completion will be dated to the end of reconstruction of Sheremetyevo Terminal 2 and the opening of the new terminal Sheremetyevo-3.
