On September 01, 2006, the Management Board and Supervisory Board of SYNAXON AG reached the decision to discontinue all business operations of the DIGITAL INC. company store located in Vienna, Austria, by the end of the year. Although the store again recorded higher revenues in Q2 2006 and was able to scale back its loss, the current situation at the SCS Multiplex site in Vienna does not suggest that the Austrian enterprise will be in a position to achieve break-even in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, the assessment of this specific market and store structure has now been completed and a number of conclusions drawn from these activities have already been integrated within the German franchise system or will be incorporated in the development of next-generation store concepts. The closure of the pilot store is expected to produce exceptional charges of between EUR 0.4 and 0.6 million in 2006.
