IVU receives large order in Colombia

Cali is first customer in Latin America

Construction of a new public transport system using information
technology supplied by IVU Traffic Technologies AG

IVU Traffic Technologies AG has its first customer in Latin America:
Santiago de Cali, the second largest city in Colombia with a
population of around 2.5 million, is completely rebuilding its public
transport system. The necessary IT systems for the new urban
transport system, called MIO, will be supplied largely by IVU: the
software for planning, dispatching and operations for a fleet of 1000
buses that will be outfitted with on-board computers, as well as the
systems for passenger information on the buses and at the bus stops.
The implementation of the system is planned to be finished by the end
of 2009. The roughly 17 million-euro contract signifies a major
growth for IVU into new markets.

The goals of MIO are less congestion, shorter travel times, better
traffic routing and attractive prices in the public transportation
system. The number of traffic deaths will be reduced and air
pollution will be minimized. The responsible agency, METRO CALI S.A.,
has assigned the contract for the new transportation system's
technological platform to a consortium; and one partner is the Berlin
software company IVU Traffic Technologies AG.

With this contract, IVU has achieved entrance into the Latin American
market.
