AGRANA, the leading sugar and starch producer in Central and Eastern Europe, is expanding its activities towards the Western Balkans. AGRANA will establish a raw sugar refinery in Brcko jointly with the Bosnian-Austrian company SCO Studen & CO Holding/Vienna as 50% partner. Capital expenditure for this project will amount to about EUR 30 million, and the refinery will have a capacity of some 150,000 tonnes of sugar p.a.
