COMPUTERLINKS AG announces positive start to the year
in the 1st quarter of 2008
Munich, 15.05.2008 - The COMPUTERLINKS Group has made a successful start to the new fiscal year 2008. Group turnover increased by 15.2% in the 1st quarter of 2008 to 117,5 million Euro (1st quarter 2007: 102.0 million Euro). With a stable EBITDA margin compared to the same quarter last year, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) rose in the 1st quarter of 2008 by 14.8% to 4.0 million Euro (1st quarter 2007: 3.5 million Euro). Net income for the period rose in the first three months of 2008 by 20.8% to 2.4 million Euro. Earnings per share were therefore 0.36 Euro in the 1st quarter of 2008 (1st quarter of 2007: 0.30 Euro).
The e-security division saw an increase of 16% in the 1st quarter of 2008 to 104.4 million Euro (1st quarter 2007: 89.9 million Euro). Turnover of 10.8 million Euro was achieved in the e-business division compared to 10.4 million Euro in the same period last year. In the Professional Services segment turnover rose by 30% to 2.3 million Euro in the 1st quarter of 2008.
The COMPUTERLINKS Group was able to make a seamless transition from the successful fiscal year 2007 to the 1st quarter of 2008.
We feel we are well positioned in all our Group's companies in the various countries. Following a successful start to the new year, we remain cautiously optimistic about the coming months of the current fiscal year based on the summer quarters and the uncertain overall economic climate.
