Blaubeuren, May 15, 2008 - centrotherm photovoltaics AG has expanded
its national and international business in the photovoltaics market.
The provider of technology and services for manufacturers of solar
cells and solar silicon has almost quadrupled its revenue to EUR 67.7
million in the first three months of 2008 compared with the previous
year period. Total output leapt to EUR 68.0 million compared with EUR
16.8 million in the first quarter of 2007. Operating earnings (EBIT)
rose to EUR 8.5 million (previous year: EUR - 38,000). The EBIT
margin relative to total output of 12.5 percent was also
significantly above the previous year's level (-0.2 percent).

The order book of EUR 677.4 million as of March 31, 2008 underpins
the company's growth objectives. The Management Board is consequently
retaining its revenue forecast for the full year 2008 of EUR 330
million to EUR 350 million, and an EBIT margin of at least 12.5
percent.
