SYNAXON AG announces first quarter 2008 results
SYNAXON AG returned a profit of Euro 519 thousand (previous year: Euro 524 thousand) in the first quarter of 2008, which was thus in line with last year's levels. Earnings per share was unchanged at Euro 0.15 (previous year: Euro 0.15). Benefiting from a lower tax burden of 30.8% (previous year: 45.5%), the company reported earnings before taxes and minority interests of Euro 767 thousand (previous year: Euro 1,007 thousand). The consolidated turnover was reduced by eliminating the centrally invoiced goods turnover and a decline in the income tied to the purchasing volume to Euro 3,795 thousand (previous year: Euro 4,247 thousand). Although sales figures in the German IT market have gone up, trade remains exposed to a further decline of average prices. First quarter results are in line with planning for the fiscal year 2008, which forecasts an income before taxes of at least Euro 2.5 million.
