Notification in line with Article 26 of the Securities Trading Act
In a letter dated May 07, 2008, Morgan Stanley (Wilmington, Delaware,
USA) in-formed Arcandor AG about the following:
"Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, New York, USA, on 1 May 2008, has
fallen below the threshold of 3% of the voting rights of Arcandor AG,
Essen, Germany, and on that day holds 1.17% of the voting rights (=
2,695,973 shares, each carrying one voting right); and
The holding entity of Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, Wilmington,
Delaware, USA, on 1 May 2008, has also fallen below the threshold of
3% of the voting rights of Arcandor AG, Essen, Germany, and on that
day holds 1.17% (= 2,695,973 shares, each carrying one voting right),
whereby these voting rights are attributed to it pursuant to Section
22 para. 1 sent. 1 No. 1 German Securities Trading Act through its
subsidiary Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorpo-rated."
