Angeles, USA, has informed us that its proportion of voting rights in
Wincor Nixdorf AG, Paderborn, Germany, exceeded the threshold of 3%
on April 30, 2008. On that date, Capital Income Builder, Inc. held
3.05% in relation to all voting rights in Wincor Nixdorf AG (voting
rights arising from 1,007,500 ordinary shares (Stammaktien)). Wincor
Nixdorf AG has issued ordinary shares only.

In accordance with § 21 para 1 WpHG Capital Research and Management
Company, Los Angeles, USA, has informed us that its proportion of
voting rights in Wincor Nixdorf AG, Paderborn, Germany exceeded the
threshold of 3% on April 28, 2008. On that date, Capital Research and
Management Company held 3.23% in relation to all voting rights in
Wincor Nixdorf AG (voting rights arising from 1.067,245 ordinary
shares (Stammaktien)). Wincor Nixdorf AG has issued ordinary shares
only.

3.23% of all voting rights in Wincor Nixdorf AG (voting rights
arising from 1.067,245 ordinary shares) were attributed to Capital
