ErSol buys Californian Silicon Recycler SRS - Jump in Profits 2005
• Cell sales to increase by at least 15 MWp through the end of 2007 •
CEO Beneking: "Thanks to the SRS purchase we shall be able to
increase our worldwide market share and have a foot in the door of
the US market." • ErSol to sound out the market for further purchase
opportunities • 2006 Group EBIT to more than double - Sales seen
reaching 100 million euros - all projections not yet include SRS •
2005 net profit more than tripled - sales up 71 per cent
Erfurt, 24 February 2006 - ErSol Solar Energy AG, Erfurt (ErSol) has
taken over one of the leading silicon recycling companies world-wide,
Silicon Recycling Services, Inc. (SRS), from the California owners in
Camarillo. According to conservative estimates, the present stocks of
recyclable material at SRS will increase ErSol’s cell sales by at
least 15 MWp through the end of 2007, starting in the second half of
2006.
The purchase agreement was signed late Thursday (PST) in Camarillo.
This concludes the transaction. It was agreed not to disclose any
exact details. ErSol is paying the purchase entirely from its IPO
proceeds and continues to sound out the market for further purchase
opportunities.
Strong Year End Accounts in 2005 - Signs for 2006 point to Growth
Preliminary figures show the following key financial data for 2005 -
in million euros (according to the IFRS):

EBT 9.5 2.9 plus 222 %
Net profit 5.9 1.8 plus 225 %
Outlook
In the current year the signs point to growth and an increase in
results - the positive effects of the SRS transaction are as yet not
included in this projection. ErSol expects 2006 EBT to increase by
100 per cent compared to 2005. On top of that, ErSol wants to more
than double operating profit EBIT.
