From the following notifications, only the one of MCC Holding Limited
(notification No. 4.) is an obligatory notification. For the other
notifying parties the required notifications were already made on 13
September 2007.

Voting rights notifications pursuant to § 21 WpHG

Details of the notifying parties:

2. Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Limited, Hamilton HM12, Bermuda;

3. Linetrust PTC Ltd., Hamilton HM12, Bermuda;

4. Linea Ltd., Hamilton HM12, Bermuda;

5. MCC Holding Limited, P. C. 1065 Nicosia, Cyprus

The Bank of N. T. Butterfield & Son Limited made the following
notifications regarding the holding of voting rights held in K+S
Aktiengesellschaft in their own name as well as for the other
aforementioned notifying parties.

The Bank of N. T. Butterfield & Son Limited controls Butterfield
Trust (Bermuda) Limited which in turn controls Linetrust PTC Ltd.
which in turn controls Linea Ltd. which in turn controls MCC Holding
Limited.

1. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of
Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Limited pursuant to § 21 para. 1 in
connection with § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG:

On 10 September 2007 Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Limited exceeded the
3 per cent and the 5 per cent threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG and held
at this date 6.75 per cent of the voting rights (i.e. 2,785,451
shares with voting rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. It now holds
7.28 per cent of the voting rights (i.e. 3,002,515 shares with voting
rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. All these voting rights (7.28 per
cent) are attributed to Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Limited pursuant
to § 22 para 1 sent. 1 no 1 WpHG. MCC Holding Limited, which is an
undertaking indirectly controlled by Butterfield Trust (Bermuda)
Limited through Linetrust PTC Ltd. and Linea Ltd., directly holds the
aforementioned 7.28 per cent of the voting rights.

2. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of
Linetrust PTC Ltd. pursuant to § 21 para. 1 in connection with § 22
para 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG:

On 10 September 2007 Linetrust PTC Ltd. exceeded the 3 per cent and
the 5 per cent threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG and held at this date
6.75 per cent of the voting rights (i.e. 2,785,451 shares with voting
rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. It now holds 7.28 per cent of the
voting rights (i.e. 3,002,515 shares with voting rights) in K+S
Aktiengesellschaft. All these voting rights (7.28 per cent) are
attributed to Linetrust PTC Ltd. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sent. 1 no.
1 WpHG. MCC Holding Limited, which is an undertaking indirectly
controlled by Linetrust PTC Ltd. through Linea Ltd., directly holds
the aforementioned 7.28 per cent of the voting rights.

3. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of Linea
Ltd. pursuant to § 21 para. 1 in connection with § 22 para 1 sent. 1
no. 1 WpHG:

On 10 September 2007 Linea Ltd. exceeded the 3 per cent and the 5 per
cent threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG and held at this date 6.75 per
cent of the voting rights (i.e. 2,785,451 shares with voting rights)
in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. It now holds 7.28 per cent of the voting
rights (i.e. 3,002,515 shares with voting rights) in K+S
Aktiengesellschaft. All these voting rights (7.28 per cent) are
attributed to Linea Ltd. pursuant to § 22 para 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG.
On January 22, 2008 Linea Ltd. transferred all its direct
shareholding of K+S Aktiengesellschaft shares to MCC Holding Limited,
its subsidiary and thereby Linea Ltd.´s direct shareholding went
below the 3 per cent threshold to zero shares and voting rights. MCC
Holding Limited holds the 7.28 per cent of the voting rights.

4. Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of MCC
Holding Limited pursuant to § 21 para. 1 WpHG:

On January 22, 2008 MCC Holding Limited exceeded the 3 per cent and
the 5 per cent threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG and held at this date
7.28 per cent of the voting rights (i.e. 3,002,515 shares with voting
rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft.

5. Notification of voting rights in the own name of The Bank of N.T.
Butterfield & Son Limited pursuant to § 21 para. 1 in connection with
§ 22 para 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG:

On 10 September 2007 The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited
exceeded the 3 per cent and the 5 per cent threshold of § 21 para. 1
WpHG and held at this date 6.75 per cent of the voting rights (i.e.
2,785,451 shares with voting rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. It
now holds 7.28 per cent of the voting rights (i.e. 3,002,515 shares
with voting rights) in K+S Aktiengesellschaft. All these voting
rights (7.28 per cent) are attributed to The Bank of N.T. Butterfield
