New Star Asset Management, London, United Kingdom informed us
pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 of the WpHG, that on 18th of December
2007 the voting interest of New Star Asset Management in Demag Cranes
AG, Düsseldorf, Germany fell below the threshold of 3 percent and
amounted to 2.99 percent (634,125 voting rights) on this day.

2.99% of the voting rights (634,125 voting rights) are attributable
to New Star Asset Management in accordance with sec. 22 para. 1 sent.
1 no. 6 of the WpHG.
