HTI ACQUIRES THEYSOHN GROUP

100% of Theysohn Group, specializing in the production of extrusion
machinery, will be integrated in HTE High Tech Engineering GmbH,
HTI´s new segment holding for mechanical engineering - additional
sales in 2008 of about EUR 40m.

St. Marien, Austria, December 20, 2007 - Following Wednesday´s
announcement of the acquisitions of Carbo Tech Composites GmbH and
HAT Skinline GmbH, the Management Board of HTI High Tech Industries
announces the acquisition today of Theysohn Group, headquartered in
Korneuburg, Austria.

Theysohn-Holding GmbH consists of Theysohn Extrusionstechnik GmbH
(Korneuburg), the toolmaking subsidiary Topf Kunststofftechnik GmbH
(Kirchberg), as well as Theysohn Extruder Komponenten Salzgitter GmbH
(Salzgitter, Germany). The industrial group also encompasses sales
and distributions companies operating in the USA, Russia and India
along with a sales office located in China. Theysohn develops,
distributes and produces extrusion equipment for the manufacturing of
pipes, profiles, siding and sheets made of plastic, and is recognized
as one of the world´s leading producers of high-performance plastic
processing machinery.

The total Theysohn Group sales of approximately EUR 56m in 2007 have
been primarily impacted by a large contract order from a Chinese
customer. 2008 sales are expected to reach a level of about EUR 40m.
HTI High Tech Industries will acquire a 100% shareholding of the
industrial group, currently led by the two managing directors Rudolf
Zahradnik and Siegfried Topf, fully integrating Theysohn in HTE High
Tech Engineering GmbH, the newly-formed segment holding for
mechanical engineering.

As a result of this acquisition, the HTI Group not only provides
expertise in injection molding but in extrusion technologies as well,
enabling it to offer the two most important technologies applied in
plastics processing. "Theysohn can deliver complete, "turn-key"
facilities, in contrast to many competitors which can only produce
individual components", says Peter Glatzmeier, Member of the
Management Board of HTI, in summarizing the top-notch technical
competence of the acquired company. Moreover, synergies will be
exploited in the field of toolmaking, enabling the sharing and joint
utilization of the machining capacities of Topf and HTP in the
mechanical production of tools.
