AvW INVEST AG, which is listed in the Prime Market of the Vienna
stock exchange, is increasing its profits forecast for the financial
year 2007, and is expecting the biggest profits in the company´s
history. The profit per share is expected to rise around 65 per cent
to 4.30 EUR (2006: 2.61 EUR). The expected net profit should be
around 13 million EUR (2006: 7.87 Million EUR), i.e. a similar rise
of around 65 per cent. This leap in profits, which exceeds the
company´s own expectations, is mainly due to the booming financial
sector and the equity participations business.

On the basis of this forecast the management is also indicating a
significant increase in the dividend, which will rise by 50 per cent
to 1.20 EUR (2006: 0.80 EUR). The aim is that shareholders should
profit from the extraordinary success of the company through the
dividend also, says the Chairman of AvW´s Board of Management,
Wolfgang Auer von Welsbach.

The equity participation in the German IT company Nextevolution
(N5EG.DE) has also been increased by more than 60 per cent in recent
weeks. AvW INVEST now holds 16.1 per cent (previously ten per cent)
of the shares. "For Nextevolution, 2007 was the year of expansion and
acquisition; in 2008 the focus will be on profitability, and we are
supporting this objective," says Auer von Welsbach.
