please be informed that we represent Capital Research and Management
Company, 333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071, USA. In the
name and on behalf of Capital Research and Management Company we
hereby notify you pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG of the following:

On 30 November 2007, the stake of Capital Research and Management
Company in the voting rights in GfK AG, Nordwestring 101, 90319
Nürnberg, exceeded the threshold of 3 %. On that date, Capital
Research and Management Company held 3.98 % in relation to all voting
rights in GfK AG (voting rights arising from 1,428,000 ordinary
shares(Stammaktien)). GfK AG has issued ordinary shares only.

3.98 % of all voting rights m GfK AG (voting rights arising from
1,428,000 ordinary shares) were attributed to Capital Research and
Management Company pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG. Of
those voting rights, 3.81 % voting rights (voting rights arising from
1,365,500 ordinary shares) were held by SMALLCAP World Fund, Inc.,
333 South Hope Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071, USA.
