We hereby announce that we have received the following notification
from GEW Köln AG, Cologne, Germany:
We hereby inform you pursuant to Section 21 (1) of the German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that the share of the voting rights of
GEW Köln AG, Cologne, in MVV Energie AG exceeded the 3 %, 5 %, 10 %
and 15 % thresholds on 11 October 2007 and amounted to 16.10%
(8,981,315 voting rights) on this date.
This share of voting rights is attributable to us pursuant to Section
22 (1) Sentence 1 No. 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG)
via our subsidiary RheinEnergie AG.
We further announce that we have received the following notification
from Stadtwerke Köln GmbH, Cologne, Germany:
We hereby inform you pursuant to Section 21 (1) of the German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that the share of the voting rights of
Stadtwerke Köln GmbH, Cologne, in MVV Energie AG exceeded the 3 %, 5
%, 10 % and 15 % thresholds on 11 October 2007 and amounted to 16.10%
(8,981,315 voting rights) on this date.
This share of voting rights is attributable to us pursuant to Section
22 (1) Sentence 1 No.1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG).
The chain of controlled companies is as follows (beginning with the
lowest company): RheinEnergie AG, GEW Köln AG.
We further announce that we have received the following notification
from the City of Cologne, Germany:
We hereby inform you pursuant to Section 21 (1) of the German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that the share of the voting rights of
the City of Cologne, in MVV Energie AG exceeded the 3 %, 5 %, 10 %
and 15 % thresholds on 11 October 2007 and amounted to 16.10 %
(8,981,315 voting rights) on this date.
This share of voting rights is attributable to the City of Cologne
pursuant to Section 22 (1) Sentence 1 No.1 of the German Securities
Trading Act (WpHG). The chain of controlled companies is as follows
(beginning with the lowest company): RheinEnergie AG, GEW Köln AG,
Stadtwerke Köln GmbH.
